Volume II: ca 200 pages of text, 107 chromolithographed plates. Contemporary half-leather, browned, but well preserved, inside in excellent condition, a magnificent set. These are the first two volumes (of four) of this famous and fascinating work on the most important houses of Pompei. The work was followed by two additional volumes in 1890 and 1896.
