Fahrenheit 451 Bradbury, Ray

Paperback edition - the book was published shortly afterwards in hard covers by Ballantine using the same basic design for the jacket illustration by Joe Mugnaini but in a much plainer form. The book has been quite badly bound so that the text block protrudes from the cover along the right edge and is uneven in places - the binding feels secure but the book needs careful handling however. There is a little edge tearing to the first page and to pages 179 to 182. The spine has quite heavy edge rubbing but the front and rear covers are clean and unmarked other than a little reading creasing down the right side of the rear cover. Date and short note in ink to the top left corner of the inside of the front cover. Name in pen to the top right corner of the first page. The pages are browned with a small spot to page 147 but otherwise unmarked. Also contains two short stories - The Playground and And the Rock Cried Out with illustrations by Mugnaini at the beginning of each of the three stories. First printing.
