In Yiddish. Short description: Smolyar, B. Sorceress (Di kishefmahern). One-act play for young children. [In Yiddish]. Warsaw; New York: Detsky Mir Publishing House, 1922. 16 p. Ber (Boris) Smolyar (1897-1986) - teacher and journalist, writer, publicist. Born in Rivne, on the territory of the Russian Empire. He worked as a journalist in Warsaw, Rovno, Odessa, Kazan. Member of the Bund. From 1920 he lived in the United States. From 1924 editor of the Jewish Telegraphic Agency (ITA). Contributed to the New York World newspaper. He worked as a correspondent for ITA in Moscow (1930), wrote about the life of Jews in the USSR. In 1936 - in Berlin; in 1937 he was expelled from Germany. He was a staff member of the Forverts newspaper. He wrote a lot about the social, political and cultural life of Jews in the United States.
